What is your background?

My background was originally in business and this led me to take responsibility for the finance at ReportOUT. I also work a lot within child poverty and social justice and therefore human rights are very important to me.

What is your role at ReportOUT?

I am the Treasurer at ReportOUT and I am also responsible for overseeing events and fundraising activities.

What Impact has your role had on the charity?

I control the finances and ensure that ReportOUT has sufficient funds to be able to operate and work on effective projects. I also steer public events to develop further income streams into the charity.

What is one thing you aim to achieve for the charity this year?

To ensure ReportOUT remains financially stable and has an events strategy which brings in a steady stream of income and supports to projects and campaigns at ReportOUT.

List one personal achievement you want to accomplish as a result of being part of the charity.

Event planning.

Have there been any notable moments in your life that have led you to working at and supporting the charity?

Becoming a Sociology student made me see how much I wanted to try to have an impact upon the world.

What is your personal view about global Sexual And/Or Gender Minority issues?

The issues they face are based on constructed ideas of sexuality, and because they are constructed they can be deconstructed.

What is the best advice you have been given?

Listen to yourself and do what you enjoy!

What other hobbies and interests do you have?

I enjoy walking, reading, exercise and being a good friend.

Who inspires you and why?

Drew Dalton, Chair at ReportOUT, inspires me because of his boundless energy, drive and passion.
